You Shouldn’t Wear This Bitcoin Shirt – Here’s Why

To Nicholas 𝕏 for the daily posts here

Everyone has their own unique sense of style, but if you’re wearing a Bitcoin trader like the shirt in X post below in public – you should probably stop doing that.

I agree with this post that this shirt screams as fuck and will only bring unwanted attention.

Most people don’t understand Bitcoin and its adjacent lingo. If you’re wearing it in public, most people aren’t even going to notice it and will forget about it completely, and move on with their day. So if you’re wearing a shirt, you’re actually not as tough as you think.

But few who see you wearing it will know what it means, and it can have dire consequences.

Wearing a shirt that broadcasts to everyone that you have a whole bitcoin (or basically $100,000, at the time of writing, as a bearer asset) will likely put a target on your back.

Don’t believe me?

This past November, the CEO of the Canadian company WonderFi Kidnapped and held for ransom. And recently, there was a Pakistani crypto trader Kidnapped And forced to pay the kidnappers $340,000 from his Binance account.

I’m not trying to scare anyone, but these things can happen, and you should at least avoid putting yourself in that situation.

These criminals may or may not know how Bitcoin works, and it’s probably worse if they don’t. Because they might think you have it all on an exchange, or that your private keys are located in a place that’s easy to get to, thinking you might be an easy target. And if you tell them you can’t physically drop your coins, and they don’t believe you, things can get ugly quickly.

I’m not saying never talk to anyone about Bitcoin or be 100% secretive about it — I mean, I’m a public figure in this space and have thought about the possibilities of something bad happening. How best to limit. me The security of your Bitcoin is important, but so is your personal security. Fortunately for me, I’m an American and I have Second Amendment rights. Protecting my bitcoin from a potential $5 wrench attack is much easier with a weapon.

If you’re the proud owner of a whole Bitcoin, it’s okay to celebrate, because that’s a feat that most people on Earth will never be able to achieve.

However, my advice to you is to celebrate it in a way that is more private, such as with no one other than your family and very close friends that you trust. You can post about it anonymously on X or Reddit if you really want to have a deep conversation about it or get a dopamine rush from all the other anons congratulating you on the achievement.

Don’t tell people how many bitcoins you have, and definitely don’t wear shirts that reveal it. Just be humble and stack more bitcoins.
