Microsoft is Bringing back a model upgrade To its AI-powered Bing Image creator, Reports TechCrunch. The rollback comes after weeks of complaints from users that the tool wasn’t working properly after Microsoft “upgraded” the DALL-E 3 model to a new version on December 18.
Microsoft declined to comment on its decision to bring back the items or offer specifics on what might be causing the gap between user expectations and its output.
Today, Microsoft’s head of research, Jordi Ribas, tweeted That they may re-introduce “some of the reported issues” and are going back to an older version of the DALL-E model for now, though it may take a few weeks to complete.
As soon as Ribas posted about the change in December, there were complaints that Bing was creating image creators. Less detailed results or image which Does not display their prompts correctly. In his initial responses, Ribas said the model’s output quality “should be slightly better on average” than before.

All of these things are subjective, and I can’t claim to think any of them look better than others. If anything, it feels like a sign that Microsoft doesn’t just need to deal with complaints about people upset about bugs or feature changes — it now needs to compare the machine’s output with the AI art critics say it is. Imagine that it should be made. Perhaps they should ask artists whose work generators were trained for tips on managing client expectations?
