Mary Steenbergen Says she thought of her husband Ted Danson He was a cool guy before they met … until he punctuated a roll in the hay with a lame phrase.
The actress has disclosed this news people on the red carpet at the Golden Gala on Friday … explaining that she always thought TD was a great person because of his onscreen persona.
That all changed after the first time they had sex, says MS … ’cause when they finished, she swears Danson couldn’t help but say “gosh-a-rooney”.
Mary jokingly apologized to her granddaughters for mangling the post-sex phrase … ’cause they probably didn’t want to know their grandparents that well!

Steenbergen says there was more to Danson than when they first met … and, over the years, she’s learned more about his activism and kindness.
She says her interactions with her children definitely helped instill love between them … and, she calls life with him “exciting.”
Ted and Mary first met in 1983 … though they didn’t marry until the mid-1990s. They have children from previous relationships but none together.
