“Wicked” is estimated to have earned about $50 million more before the weekend is out … bringing its total expected domestic gross to $263 million.
Obviously, that’s just factor in the domestic total, with the flick grossing nearly $360 million worldwide since opening earlier this month.

“Wicked” still trails “Les Miserables” in the worldwide tally when it comes to musical movies. ($442.7M) and “Grease.” ($396.2M) … and, the great white whale of the international musical — “Mamma Mia!” at $611.2 million.
The film isn’t just pandering to nostalgia… Critics love the film — and, hopefully, it’ll get some Academy Awards buzz when voting begins next month.
And, remember … this is just the first part of “Wicked” — so, Universal will be raking in the dough on next year’s second installment as well.
The characters of “Wicked” are “dancing through life” … and, the producers are probably swimming in gold like Scrooge McDuck with it!
