A pair of Green Bay Packers legends are going to bat Sterling Sharp … Insisted this week the former wide receiver is “absolutely” in the Hall of Fame.

Both — who played alongside Sharpe in the 1990s — seemed genuinely surprised that it was still a question … Butler told us that if Sharpe’s seven-year career hadn’t been cut short by injuries, ” He’ll be the GOAT.”
“He’ll be the best of all time,” the Hall of Fame safety said.

Due to toe and neck problems, Sharp only logged 112 games … but still put up staggering numbers. He caught 595 passes for 8,134 yards … and recorded 65 receiving TDs. He also earned All-Pro honors three times – as well as five Pro Bowl selections.
During our interview with Favre, he talked about Sharp (who is Shannonbrother of) “favorable” and “unbelievable”.
“He wasn’t the fastest,” Sharpe’s former quarterback said, “he wasn’t the tallest, but he was by far the smartest — probably the smartest football player I’ve ever played with. And that’s a lot.” is saying something.”
Sharpe is currently one of five finalists vying for as many as three spots in this year’s HOF class. In an ironic twist, his former coach, Mike HolmgrenActually one of four others the committee will vote on.
Favre said he hopes both will be involved … telling us, “It’s going to be nothing short of amazing to be there with all those guys. It’s going to be an amazing time.”
The entire Class of ’25 will be revealed during Super Bowl week in February.
