TMZ has obtained video showing a new angle of the New Orleans terror attack on Bourbon Street, and it’s heartbreaking.
You see crowds of people roaming the streets, as well as people dancing on the sidewalks … celebrating the New Year. Then, suddenly, people in the street start to gasp … apparently seeing the pickup truck – with Shamsud-Din Jabbar on wheels – roaring at them.
It’s so miraculous … almost everyone scrambles for safety, as fast as they can on the sidewalk. We freeze the video as the vehicle hits the woman in the white shirt and gray skirt — and it launches her into the air. We didn’t even notice the others as the car continued on its deadly course.
The video continues, with people running down Bourbon Street accompanied by police and a security guard. Then, suddenly, everyone turns and runs back to the camera. This is apparently when Jabbar had a shootout with the police … which ended with 2 officers being shot and Jabbar dead.
As you know, 14 people were killed in the attack. The FBI says Jabbar acted alone.
Officials initially thought there were 4 other accomplices, but a source with direct knowledge told TMZ … 3 men and a woman only. Parties who saw coolers on the street And opened it, thinking there was alcohol inside. They clearly did not know that the device inside was an IED.
