Selena Gomez breaks down in tears over ICE arrests

The pop star took to her Instagram Stories on Monday morning, where she wept openly while reflecting on the recent arrests. Benny Blanco‘s fiancee noted how “sorry” she was at the news and declared that her folks were “under attack.”

Selena appeared very upset about the “kids” being taken in the raids … an apparent reference to the president’s recent authorization allowing ICE to go into schools and churches.

She added … “I don’t understand. I’m so sorry. I wish I could do something, but I can’t. I don’t know what to do.”

Despite his disappointment, the American-Mexican star promised to try to do “everything” to protect his community.

Selena has since toned down her emotional reaction, though … indicating she got a reaction to the blubbering upload.

The former Disney Channel alum wrote in a follow-up post … “Apparently it’s not okay for people to show empathy.”

Selena’s reaction came after ICE officials confirmed the arrest of 956 people Sunday in multiple raids in Chicago, Miami and Newark.

Trump has signed several immigration-related executive orders since taking office last week … fulfilling his campaign promise to crack down on undocumented individuals by carrying out mass deportations.
