Yet another NFL player has broken into his home … this time the residence of the Atlanta Falcons defensive back. Antonio Hamilton Sr The theft happened on Friday morning.
According to a Roswell Police Department incident report, obtained by TMZ SportsPolice were called to Hamilton Sr.’s Georgia home in the middle of the night after the football player told them his home security camera system caught three men breaking into his pad.
The report states that the suspects entered through the back door using a hammer/sledgehammer while Hamilton Sr. was on vacation … and took a safe – before speaking from the residence within minutes.
Police say they deployed K9s after they arrived on the scene in an attempt to find the burglars… though they ultimately couldn’t find them in the area.
Docs note, however, that officers were able to locate the safe that was taken from the residence near the home’s fence. They say it contained “weapons and several expensive handbags”.
Hamilton Sr. — who celebrates his 32nd birthday on Friday — appeared to comment on the matter on his Instagram page shortly after it all went down … sharing a Bible verse that read, “And because ye shall not Know when that time will come, be alert!”
It’s unclear if the burglary at Hamilton’s location is related to others that have occurred at NFL players’ homes in recent months — the Roswell Police Department’s investigation is still ongoing.
The Hamilton senior has played nine years in the NFL – logging time in 109 games. He is set to become a free agent this offseason after signing a 1-year, $1.37 million contract with the Falcons through 2024.
