Honors Magic 7 Pro is a pure Flagship Android phone which weaves the latest AI features with state-of-the-art hardware. It excels everywhere that matters. You get a highly versatile camera, impressive stamina, fast charging, silky smooth performance, and a stunning display. Several subtle but significant improvements over its predecessor take this smartphone to the next level.
Chinese phone maker Honor has impressed me with its hardware since last year Magic 6 Pro To soften impossibly Honor Magic V3. This year, it has focused more on software with some welcome polish. Its heavy investment in AI is starting to mature, with features that feel more practical in the Magic 7 Pro than its predecessors. It’s a flagship priced at £1,099 ($1,346), and sadly, it’s not officially sold in the US. But UK and European buyers should not sleep on the magic.
Subtle improvements
At first glance, the Magic 7 Pro looks similar to the 6 Pro, but I was delighted to find a flatter display and frame, making it far more comfortable to use and less prone to accidental touches than curved glass. Honor has toned down the camera module, though it’s still large enough to make the phone look a bit unbalanced. While this phone later felt bigger Using the Pixel 9It is manageable to maintain. I’m not in love with the marble effect of my Lunar Shadow Gray review unit, but it’s more interesting than the plain blue or black options.
The 6.8-inch screen is as good as any I’ve tested. It is bright, smooth and sharp. By the numbers, it has a 2,800 x 1,200-pixel resolution, a variable Refresh rate up to 120 Hzand 1,600 nits of brightness (up to 5,000 nits for highlights). With Dolby Vision and HDR Vivid support, video looks great on the 7 Pro, and the speakers are nice and loud without any distortion. Honor has also added several features aimed at reducing eye fatigue and strain, but they are hard to quantify.

The only minor gripe I had was with the large selfie camera cutout, though you soon get used to it. It’s a compromise I can accept for the convenience of secure Face Unlock—a rarity on Android phones, since it also works with banking apps.
There’s plenty of power under the hood with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and 12GB of RAM. As you’d expect, the benchmark results are top notch, and this phone can handle anything. There’s also a very generous 512 GB of speed storage, which is more than most phones at this price offer. A in Honor Magic 7 Pro IP68 and IP69 Also rated, meaning it can be submerged and handle water jets or steam.
Looking inside, a very high level of polish is quite evident. Honor talks about AI in the Magic 7 Pro, and we’ll get into the specifics, but that extends to the phone. AI has made its way into the phone app to reduce background noise and clarify sounds, and there’s a privacy feature designed to prevent sound leakage and prevent eavesdroppers.
